Task 1: Draft Dissertation
Literature Matrix
As the first task was to draft our our literature review, we were
required to build a matrix with the relevant articles we had from
our methodology module. Since I felt the scope of the articles were
a bit limited to form a discussion for my literature review, I added
additional articles.

Task 2: Visual Design Publication
Moodboard
The moodboard was designed keeping in mind the key themes of this
study which included: female representation, diversity and
inclusivity. Moreover, since the focus is on contemporary audience
perceptions, a modern approach was considered as well in terms of
typefaces and colour schemes.

Process:
The cover page illustrations were made on Illustrator, and the layout
designs were completed on InDesign.

Task 4: Journal Article Publication
We are to follow the TDS Kreate Journal format for this task, and select one of our research objectives as the focus of the article. I selected the first objective which was to: to discover how viewers perceive the diversity of body types in female protagonists within mainstream animation.

Reflection
This was a really intensive module given that it combines both writing and design aspects to it. However, our lecturers structured the module in a way that the tasks were digestible and less overwhelming. My main weakness was not being able to complete my work on time which caused me to considerably fall behind in making changes to my work alongside the other students. However, having repeated this module for many times, I can say that I have a better grasp and understanding of my research topic, and can say that it was simultaneously interesting and exhausting to make changes to my writing in a more critical manner. It also enabled me to see some errors in my methodology, however I tried my best to work with what I had already done. Revisting Indesign and working on layout designs for our task 2 was very enjoyable as well, although I regret not being able to customise the charts on the findings pages. Overall I am grateful and indebted to Dr. Hayati for her patience despite my struggles with this module.
