Pose to Pose Animation
1. Key Pose
The storytelling drawing or the main idea
E.g. Idea 1 Walk ---> Idea 2 Pick Up ---> Idea 3 Write
2. Extreme Pose
Poses that connect key poses to complete the action. Among the extremes, one of them could be a key.
3. Breakdown Pose
- Middle pose that sits between extreme poses
- Used for:
- getting flexibility
- creating arc
- dividing between slow in and slow out
4. In between Pose
Poses that show slow in and slow out
Straight Ahead Animation
- Better for unpredictable actions e.g fire, water particles, smoke, explosions
- Also good for overlapping action e.g. hair, floppy ears, tails
